2004年获得博士学位,在美国国家标准与技术研究院(NIST)担任研究员,从事先进CMOS集成与纳米电子学的研究。2007-2023年,历任乔治梅森大学电机与计算机工程系助理教授、副教授(终身)、正教授;获得2009年度美国自然科学基金会(NSF)杰出青年科学家奖(CAREER);2017-2023年,担任弗吉尼亚州微电子协会(VMEC)讲席教授;2023年至今,在北京大学先进制造与机器人学院任教授。曾长期领导和参与美国多个国家基金会评审工作,并领导维吉尼亚州半导体与电子信息研究和教育。长期领导和参加国际科学协会会议组织和科学杂志评审,2022-2025年,任国际电化学学会(ECS)理事会成员和电子光子学分会(EPD)主席,并担任IEEE Sensors Journal的副主编。其研究成果在Advanced Materials、Sci. Adv., ACS Sensors/Nano、Anal. Chem.、IEEE IOT、TED、Materials Today、Appl. Surf. Sci.、Appl. Phys. Lett.等国际期刊上发表250多篇论文,已授权专利20多项(包括美国专利10项)。
